Just saw a crawl on our local ABC morning news affiliate that said classes at Westcliffe school are cancelled today due to the death of a teenager... who was killed by a Homecoming Float.
Can you imagine a worse way to die? Honestly? What's more unlikely? Being killed by an Ice-Cream Scoop? Balloons? Kittens?
How do the parents tell people years from now about that? That's just horrible...

Watched "Knocked Up" last night with TVGal and we both came to the conclusion that it was a wee bit overrated.... but a fine diversion for an evening...

Also banged out quite a few shows that have been lollygagging around the TiVo...
Perennial favorites "The Office", "House" and "Numb3rs" have all been good in stretches, great for moments, and always enjoyable... (Memo to NBC.. no more 1 hour eps of "Office"... sometimes less is more and that's definately the case here....)
"The Office"
TVGuy Rating (out of 100): 78
"House"
TVGuy Rating: 83
"Numb3rs"
TVGuy Rating: 81
I'd heard that Season 2's first episodes of "Heroes" were somewhat disappointing... that the story was a bit convoluted and not satisfying... after watching the premiere all I have to say is "Yup"...
"Heroes"
TVGuy Rating: 50
Conversely the premiere of ABC's "Pushing Daisies" was a gem... incredibly well-written and acted and charming as all hell... I have No Idea how on Earth this premise could be stretched out over 100 episodes or so, but I'll be watching...
"Pushing Daisies"
TVGuy Rating: 87
After seeing 3 episodes of "Bionic Woman" I'm forced to report that it is still just a complete and total mess... but worst of all, it's Boring... really, really boring... which is a crime for a show with a setup like that...
"Bionic Woman"
TVGuy Rating: 23
"Bionic Woman" is easily my most disappointing program of the fall, but it's by no means the worst... that honor goes to CBS' "Moonlight" which is beyond horrible. It's poorly produced, with cinematography and effects you'd see on a telenovella on Univision... it looks like it was put together by a High School Communications Class... the pilot episode was the single worst hour of television I've ever seen.
Yep, Ever.
The 2nd episode was better, but that's like saying you were bitten by two rabid bats, but the second one was less rabid...
What's most puzzling about it is that it was ever made in the first place... WB's "Angel" was about an immortal vampire who was a detective in Los Angeles and wore a black trenchcoat.
CBS' "Moonlight" is... well.. about an immortal vampire who is a detective in Los Angeles and wears a black trenchcoat.
And yet, "Angel" is in my top ten shows of all time and "Moonlight" is... well... trying to be nice here and not say anything that... umm... er...
Screw it.. it's putrid.
"Moonlight"
TVGuy Rating: 02 (I'm giving them credit for the program being in color. Not that it matters...)

Cordelia: God, I really wish she wouldn't leave her toys laying around.
Charles Gunn: Ooh, pretty wicked looking toy.
Wesley: I'll say. It almost looks like a spring-loaded decapitation device.
Cordelia: Or it makes toast. With her you never know....
